Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This is a single-page freelance portfolio site. It does not run ads, sell data, or build advertising profiles. The site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) only to understand traffic, including which pages are visited and roughly how often.

2. Cookies & consent

On your first visit, a banner asks whether you want to accept analytics cookies. Until you click "Accept," Google Analytics remains in a consent-denied state and does not store identifying cookies. If you click "Decline," it remains denied. Your choice is stored in your browser, so the banner does not appear again on later visits.

3. What Google Analytics collects if you accept

• Pages viewed and time spent on each page
• Referrer or traffic source (e.g. search engine, social link)
• Device, browser, and operating system
• Approximate location (country/city, derived from IP — GA4 does not log your full IP address)
• General engagement metrics (sessions, bounce rate, scroll depth)

No name, email address, or contact-form content is ever sent to Google Analytics.

4. Data retention

Google Analytics retains event-level data for up to 14 months (GA4's standard default setting), then deletes it automatically.

5. The contact form is handled separately

The contact form on the homepage sends submissions directly to Formspree, a third-party form processor, so I can receive your message by email. This process is separate from Google Analytics and is not affected by your cookie choice.

6. How to withdraw consent

You can change your choice at any time by selecting "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page. This reopens the banner and lets you accept or decline again. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
